OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF TSUKUBA (JAPAN)

     On June 26, 2023, the School of Biotechnology (SBT) had the honor to welcome Professor Kiong Ho and faculty members from the University of Tsukuba (Japan) on the official visit to the International University – Vietnam National University HCMC (IU).

     On this occasion, representatives from both universities also discussed on the organization of the Infection Diagnosis Workshop, which will take place this August at the IU. This workshop aims to provide students with valuable knowledge on the principles and techniques in identification and characterization of pathogenic bacteria from patient and environmental samples. This will be an excellent opportunity for IU-BT students to learn directly from Dr. Kazuya Morikawa and engage with exceptional students from Tsukuba University, Japan.

     In addition, Professor Kiong Ho held a meeting with students to introduce information about the MEXT scholarships and the Summer Research 2023 program. Notably, he awarded 10 spots in the SRP Online program, a part of the Summer Research 2023, to outstanding students from the School of Biotechnology.
