IPA SCHOLARSHIP FROM RIKEN RESEARCH INSTITUTE (JAPAN) FOR DOCTORAL CANDIDATE OF THE SCHOOL OF BIOTECHNOLOGY, INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY – VNU HCMC

IPA SCHOLARSHIP FROM RIKEN RESEARCH INSTITUTE (JAPAN) FOR DOCTORAL CANDIDATE OF THE SCHOOL OF BIOTECHNOLOGY, INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY – VNU HCMC

On April 11-12th 2023, on behalf of the International University – Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City (IU), Prof. Le Van Canh, Vice Rector, and Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Thuan, Dean of the School of Biotechnology (BT) had an official visit at RIKEN BioResource Research Center (RIKEN-BRC, Tsukubacampus) and RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (RIKEN-BDR, Kobe campus), RIKEN Research Institute (Japan), including collaborative meetings and visiting of RIKEN’s world class facilities. As the result of an international joint graduate program between IU and RIKEN regarding education and research in the field of biotechnology, BT’s doctoral candidates can now attend RIKEN’s worldclass laboratories through the International Program Associate (IPA) scholarship. Through the IPA program, there will be an exchange of lecturers and researchers between the School of BT and the RIKEN Research Institute, and the professors of the RIKEN Institute will participate as an inviting Professor at the School of BT.

 

RIKEN is Japan’s largest comprehensive research institution renowned for high-quality research in a diverse range of scientific disciplines. Founded in 1917 as a private research foundation in Tokyo, RIKEN has grown rapidly in size and scope, today encompassing a network of world-class research centers and institutes across Japan. An International Program Associate (IPA) is a non-Japanese doctoral candidate attending a Japanese or overseas graduate school participating in RIKEN’s joint graduate school program.
