Regarding the English level requirements for undergraduate students at the International University
The International University would like to announce that
- The University has modified the English level requirements for undergraduate students pursuant to the Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT, i.e. the 6-level Foreign language Proficiency Framework of Vietnam (FPFV), issued by the Ministry of Education and Training
- According to the framework, the minimum English level for students to graduate from an undergraduate program is tier 4/6.
- The certificates that are accepted as equivalent to this requirement is as below:

Eligibility: The submitted certificate must be still valid on the date of submission.
- Enforcement process:
- Students graduating after October 1st, 2020, must meet the minimum English requirement detailed at point 2. The eligible certificate must be submitted at least one (01) month prior to the graduation evaluation date.
- From the academic year 2021-2022 on, students registering for the Thesis credits must meet the minimum English requirement detailed at point 2. The eligible certificate must be submitted at least two (02) month prior to the Thesis registration deadline.
- Students of the 2020 intake must meet the minimum English requirement detailed at point 2 prior to registering their foundation IU classes.
- For those who have not met the minimum English requirement detailed at point 2, the University offers the Intensive English courses designed by the University of the West of England (UWE), with for levels IE0, IE1, IE2, IE3.
- These courses are only available for students of the 2021 intake on.
- An enrolled student must have passed the intake level courses, whichever it is, before registering for the nest level.
- Students must have met the minimum English requirement detailed at point 2, or passed IE3 course, prior to registering their foundation IU classes.
