On 07/03/2023, the sustainability talkshow βWho wants to be a billionaireβ organized by the Department of Food Technology – School of Biotechnology –Β International University (IU – VNU), Puratos Grand-Place Indochina company, and The Cocoa Project was successfully carried out.
Coming to this talkshow Mr.Gricha Safarian – Managing Director of Puratos Grand-Place Indochina shared why sustainability in the food technology industry will be a step for businesses in the future as well as the sustainability of Vietnam’s cocoa industry is being focused through the Puratos’ projects. This could solve the unsustainable income of farmers in cocoa gardens and the problem of deforestation which is increasingly serious today. In addition, he also analyzed and discussed interesting case studies related to the cocoa and chocolate industry with Puratos Grand-Place Indochina and The Cocoa Project.
Following the talkshow, Ms. Le Khanh Linh – General Manager of The Cocoa – shared with the audience about the chocolate inspiration that has inspired her from a management consultant to the founder and general manager of The Cocoa Project – Chocolate for everyone. She believed that Chocolate builds a bridge with people – Chocolate is the gift that goes further. It tastes better when it is shared with family and friends.
At the end of the talkshow, Mr. Gricha Safarian, Ms. Linh, and some executives in Puratos mentioned the climate issues call for bringing together corporate profits and higher purpose and the impact of revolution and what it means for Vietnam and young talented people entering the workforce.
Besides the information shared by the guest speakers, students also enjoyed delicious chocolates and cocoa drinks sponsored by Puratos and The Cocoa Project. We also participated in voting for chocolate products combined with many different unique flavors of The Cocoa Project.
The seminar ended in a cozy and cheerful atmosphere. IUFT would like to send our most sincere thanks to the speakers and guests who took their valuable time to attend and share at the talkshow. IUFT would also like to thank the students for their participation.
